Guess what. I got some great news. I got my certificate yesterday for completing my small animal care course. You know what that means? Now, when I get into the animal business I have proof to show that I have experience and skills to work with animals. Its actually very exciting to me. Ive always looked forward to getting to the point in my life where I can work. Maybe its because I want to do my passion and that is to work with animals. I would love to get into pet sitting soon. Take care of peoples pets when they are away is perfect for me. I mean I know some people think I should get into pet grooming or vet but thats not what I am aiming to. Grooming is more of a backup for me because the stress of perfection in it for me might not be good for me. I am happy to have it as a backup because people are always looking for grooming for their pets. I plan on starting as a pet sitter and in the far future to open my own doggie daycare. Maybe some photography or something else here and there. Also, was thinking of getting into dog training. My animal care teacher says I could be the next Cesar Millan. I dont think so but I would love to help people understand their dogs. You know how many dogs could of been saved from being placed in a shelter or euthanized with just a little training. Its sad and I think I would feel like I accomplished something by helping people to understand their dogs that are just waiting for the guidance. So, I will just have to start and see where my path takes me.
Also, we took Lady back to the vet and the vet is very pleased with how Lady’s paw is healing. She still has to wear the cone because if she gets back to licking it, then it will flame up again and we dont want that. Luckily, Lady does well with the cone and doesnt seem to mind it too much. Callie is also still in her cone. She seems to be healing well. She is still not totally back to herself but she is getting there. I am happy the two of them are doing well. The two cone heads of the family. The only annoying apart of the cones is when they are close to me the cones end up banging into my legs. Its alright, I still spoil them with love and kisses.
Hi,
Nice to hear that callie and lady are getting well and I hope they dont find it hard with that cone. And hearty congrats for obtaining your “certificate in Animal Care” and about your future I may say let God may be with you in any way you choose and always expect more from yourself.
Thank you
Good for you Anna! It sounds as if you will be able to offer a full service animal program for your pet sitting customers. From basic pet sitting, to sitting plus grooming, or plus sitting, grooming and photos etc. You will do well…no matter what you end up doing. Often the thing we start off with morphs into something different. Have a great summer. Oh yeah, cats take a long time to get over the affects of the anesthetic. Tincture of time is the ony thing that helps. ;O)
Congratulations! What an awesome accomplishment. 🙂 Glad your critters are doing better.
Congratulations Anna on getting your certificate. Good job! 🙂
It’s wonderful that you are following your passions. There is a book called, “Do What You Love, The Money Will Follow.” I’m sure that will be the case for you. It will probably take some time to build your business (as it does for most entrepreneurs), and you will likely make changes along the way as you figure out the aspects you most like and those you don’t, and what works and what doesn’t, etc. but I’ll bet you be quite successful in the long run because you’ll be doing something that’s meaningful and enjoyable for you.
Congratulations Anna well done!
