I got some exciting news! I got my nikon d40 back today. Yes I did. I am so excited. The minute I got it back in my hands I started taking photos of Callie, my dogs and just anything. I missed it so much that I just can barely put it down now. I love you my nikon d40. My love of my visions.
Now, lets get to the topic of the post. Being unique. Yes, we all know at least one of them and if you do not well now you do. It is not easy being unique. At least from my experiences. I am telling you that I do not fit in easily with people. There are not very many who understand me or take the time to. It is not hard to if you just take the time and observe and listen.
First off for a teenager I definitely do not fit in very well. I am not one of those girly girls and I am very independent. I do not follow all the interests of the other teenagers. They like clothing, makeup, miley cyrus, drugs and etc. Not me. Mine main interests include dogs, photography, bicycling and social media. Those are the interests I surround myself around. I aint interested in talking about clothing for hours or painting my nails. Yea, I guess you can call me partly tom boyish but really I do not fit in that category either. I fit under unique or special.
Another thing is I am not very closed minded. I am open minded on most things. Would you judge a book by its cover? Well, maybe you do but I wouldnt if I was ever going to read a book. I do not judge people by what I see. I give everyone a chance to get a long with me. I do not close my mind on other people’s opinions either. I will let them say what they believe. I am not saying I will agree but it is not like I am going to hate you or something by your thoughts and opinions.
So, to all you unique people out there. Be proud of being unique. You are not alone. There may be very few of us out amd may stand out but that will make us succeed in life. You may feel like no one likes you but I have found some people out there who cherish us. Ones who like unique. Do not give up and do not hide. be yourself and thats all that matters.
So, this photo of Callie was taken with my nikon. Woot! Finally some good quality photos. She is so cute and I just love the angle of this photo. Anyways, I am going to relax and listen to some music. I hope to talk to you all soon. Peace.
Dear Anna,
I really salute your ‘open mindness’! I salute your energy and guts you are quite uplifting. I wish your message will spread to inspire young adult to explore more underneath the surface…Keep creating your world, you’re a beautiful Soul!
Love, Marcomé
Anna, I agree with what Marcome (the commentor above me) wrote, she said it so well! 🙂
In addition, you are a very good photographer, and I always enjoy seeing your pictures, particularly the ones of animals and nature.
Don’t ever forego your uniqueness, it is what makes you quite special and that’s wonderful! You are right, your uniqueness will help you to become successful in your life, especially if you follow your dreams and do what you love. Somehow, even knowing you only from your tweets, your blog, and your photography, I do believe you will have a successful life in all the ways that matter.
Follow your heart girl and live your dreams! 🙂
Open minded is good. Learning requires an open mind. A person much wiser than me once said “I never learned anything while I was talking.”
I am so happy you got your camera back, I am going out in my front yard and scream yippppppeeeee at the top of my lungs for 5-10 minutes or until the neighbors call the cops :p
Keep going kiddo, this old hoot loves your stuff and you too!
Konan aka Doug
So few people are open-minded, but it’s one of the best gifts you can give yourself. You’ll learn things you’d never know otherwise, and it’s a generous attitude toward others. One part of what you’ve described in being unique is maturity. Think those other girls will be interested in Miley Cyrus in 5 or 10 years? No, but everything you’re interested in can go with you through life. You’ll be comfortable in your skin while others will still be looking for themselves. Stay true to yourself!
