My Dogs

Snow furry fun

We had a really white winter this year in New Jersey and it isn’t over yet. I can say the dogs are enjoying it though. Romping and jumping through the snow and coming in with snow balls stuck to them. Oliver loves the snow the most. He gets so excited to run in it and has a blast jumping on Princess. Lady on the other hand enjoys just eating the snow and then coming inside. Here are some photos of the pack this winter.

“I did what I had to. Whats next?”

“Can we go in?”

Princess just enjoying the fresh air. I wonder if her tush is cold.

Oliver checking on his sister.

The scene from Lion King reenacted.

Oliver tries to take down Princess.

But Princess fights back.

So, Oliver tries a secret karate move on her.

When that doesnt work Oliver decides to charge her.

But Princess intervenes him and the match is a draw.

Lady leads the pack inside to warmth and food.

Thats my pack for you. Enjoying the beauty of winter. Do your dogs like to romp in the snow like Oliver or do they prefer the warmth of the house like Lady does?

Bring on the Fall

The seasons are changing and the cool air is coming. I may not be ready for the change but you cant stop nature. Its okay because cold weather means hoodies and I love hoodies! I cant say I dont like Fall. I love Fall. One of my favorite seasons for taking photos. Especially, with all the different colors the scenery looks extra beautiful! I took Princess and Lady for a nice long walk today in the park. They loved it and so did I.  There was a nice breeze and the air was cool which makes for perfect walking weather. Its sad to say goodbye to Summer but luckily Fall makes Winter worth it.

Remember the pear tree photos I took awhile back? Well, I decided to make a selective color photo of one of my favorite pear shots. I think it came out nice. What do you think?

Self Portraits

Winter Eskimo

I may hate the frigid coldness of winter but that does not mean I hate winter itself. I was born in Russia. I must like it! Every season has its beauty and that includes winter. That does not mean in every part of the world the beauty is the same for each season and each person. For New Jersey, in my eyes the snow is the beauty and the greatness of winter. The snow is what I look forward to. If there is no snow here during the winter it was not a good winter. Pure whiteness on the ground makes winter survivable for me. Do you know the main reason I like winter? Guess! It is because it means Spring is coming. That means warmer weather and colors of nature will start bursting.

Until Spring comes I will stay the winter eskimo. The Jersey eskimo.  Bundling up in my hoodie and enduring each day knowing warmer weather is just around the corner. I took this photo with my cell phone. Yes, seriously! It surprised me how well it came out. I guess it is also the photographer in me that made it good. Do not get too upset with winter because its part of nature. Do not worry Spring will be here soon! Stay warm and enjoy the winter of 2010 before its gone for forever.

Snowflakes Keep Falling On My Head

I had off school today. It was no holiday and I was not skipping. I was off because of all the snow New Jersey got. The beautiful cold white snow would not stop falling from the sky. It started yesterday and continued through the night and into today. I can not complain though. I enjoy snow during the winter because it is what I expect from this season. So, today I used my Russian muscles and shoveled the driveway for my mother. It was harder than the other times because it was very wet snow but I accomplished it.

Letting you all know because I know some of you will wonder and asl. This is not our house. I just thought the white house and white snow made a great winter photo. I like the way it came out. You get the feeling of a New Jersey snow scene. I hope everyone is staying warm and if you are working or down do not be too depressed because it is Friday!

Winter

Its been a nice winter…

Now bring the spring! We had a good snow storm with around 8 inches of snow a few days ago. So now since we got a good amount of snow, winter can go away. Who agrees with me that its time for spring?

Be You And Only You

Have you ever forgotten who you really are? The person that is inside and not out? Sometimes (even a lot of the time) we are someone who we are not. At least at my age it seems to be a big deal about who you are and if you will be accepted. If you are slightly different and dont like something you can end up being looked at weirdly. How do I know? I am very different from everyone but really everyone is. It use to bother me being different. It is like why dont they like me and why do they put down for what I like? The thing I had to realize is there is nothing wrong with what interests I have and that there are people who like me for me. Dont be someone who you are not just to fit in. Be you. You will find people who will like you for you and that is what matters

Snowy Sunday Romp

It snowed all day yesterday which gave us 3-5 inches of beautiful white snow to play in. Lets just say the dogs had a blast romping around, while I froze my tush off. Since the dogs felt like running and jumping through the snow I grabbed my camera and starting photographing the acttion…

There goes Oliver starting the playtime by getting lady to chase him. Look at that boy jump!

Lady is the least fond of snow so she just plays for a few minutes and then stands on the porch to watch. Doesnt she look cute in the christmas collar?

Oliver just kept jumping over that branch as if it was no difficulty. He would be so good at agility if he could keep focus for more than a second.

Oliver zooming by to see how fast he can go. Go Oliver go!

The opponent… Princess.

Oliver takes his jumping moves all over her. She stands strong.

Princess tries to bring Oliver to the ground. She fails.

Next, Oliver turns and slows down the Princess with his skilled moves.

Since Princess is middle aged the two opponents decided to take a quick break together before turning against each other.

Oliver stretching and showing off his cute Christmas shirt that says fleas navidad.

Look at that messy snowy face he has. Thats a face of fun.

Before going after Princess Oliver decided to see if Lady wants to join in…she refuses.

Now look at Princess’ face. She is showing off all the snow on her face. She wants to win the contest of most snow on face. You win girl!

Oliver trying to shove Princess out of the way because he thinks he has the better singing voice. I will let Lady decide on that one.

Oliver got what he wanted. He got Princess after him again. The challenge is back on.

Both standing strong. Who will take out who?

The race is on. Run!

A cropped version of the phoot above. You can see how serious Oliver is about winning. Making sure Princess wont pass him.

Ah, and Princess won the race! Dont worry Oliver there is always next time.

Yoda Princess romping around to celebrate.

Princess is hoping you all enjoyed the action and photos.

Stay tuned for the next challenge when the dogs decide to romp around again.

Peace.

An Eaten Pumpkin

Winter is just around the corner and the eaten pumpkin on our front steps is the proof. The squirrels took all the inside of the pumpkin before winter comes. They need to gather all the food they can before it goes scarce with the snow and really cold weather. Stock up squirrels.

Snow!

The first snow of the year came down yesterday from the gray sky. It was not much but it warned us to get our shovels out. I don’t like winter that much but I do enjoy seeing snow fall and sticking to the ground. Watching the four seasons we get here is a spectacular thing. Its one of the reasons why I like living in New Jersey.
