Schools out for summer. Schools out forever! Thats right, I graduated yesterday and I am so proud of myself. Before graduation I tried to make the day go very slow because I was scared and had every thought of negativity about myself go through my mind. But I stayed strong and did not runaway. Everything went well and I had a blast!
I practiced walking in my heels because it was the first time I ever wore heels. Yes, I am definitely not one to wear heels often. I prefer sneakers but I did very well in them. Even when I had to walk on the grass for graduation. My feet killed me by the time I was able to take them off but it was worth it.
The class of 2010 walking out on to the field. Our senior class is about four hundred twenty kids. I know, a lot of us. Where am I? I am the third one on the girl side in the front row. They did it by height order. I know I am short because I am in the front row. Nice thing about that is I got to get it over with without building up too much fear in me. Only thing is then I had to sit there and wait for everyone else go. It was sure hot out but luckily no rain.
Waiting my turn to walk closer to receive my diploma. Yes, all the girls carry a dozen roses while graduating.
Yay, I graduated! We are paired with a walking partner for the walk down to our seats and to receive our diploma. I am hugging him here.
Me and my two best friends, Kayla and Natasha. They helped me get through the year. We made lots of memories and had a lot of great laughs. Nice thing is they are both going to the community college near by so we still will be able to hang out.
We are from New Jersey! Thats right, jersey girls like to have fun and be crazy.
After graduation, all of us got onto 8 buses that took us to an awesome country club for a dinner dance. We ate lots of good food and danced lots. We stayed there until twelve and then went home to change into comfortable clothes. The party isnt over yet!
After getting comfortable, we all went over to the middle school to party at project graduation until six in the morning. Every year they transform the middle school into some awesome theme. This year they created the land of Alice in Wonderland. It was amazing and spectacular. It really was like walking into wonderland.
In the hallway of the school they had all the baby photos of the graduated students up. Look, its me!
The class of 2010 partying it up at project graduation. We sure know how to have fun!
So, now I am done with school forever! Woot! I accomplished the biggest challenge I have had so far in life. One journey done with. Another one starting. Cant say I am ready for life but I am going to take it slowly to figure out what I want to do and learn how to succeed. I just got to try to not beat myself down all the time. I will create my path in life. It may take me longer than most but I will get there. Somehow and someway!

Gorgeous dress! Congratulations!! 🙂
Thanks!

Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on Walk on with hope in your heart
And you’ll never walk alone
You’ll never walk alone.
Thank you Saboma!
Huge congratulations to you Anna on graduating and achieving this major milestone in your life! You looked beautiful and happy, and it was good to read that you had such an awesome day and celebration.
You have your whole life ahead of you now, to enjoy and to figure out your dreams and to make them come true. Don’t worry yourself a bit about having a lot of questions and not many answers yet. That’s pretty much how it’s supposed to be at 18 – a lot of unknowns. You’ll create your life as you go, discovering what truly matters to you, what you love, what your priorities are, what works and what doesn’t, etc. And some of the answers will change as you go through your journey, growing all the while.
I wish you much happiness Anna as you begin this next phase of your life. And, as Lee Ann Womack famously sings, in your life “I Hope You Dance”

Thanks Elise. Yes, a lot of unknowns and I sure love that song. Perfect song actually. I am one who should really dance instead of sit it out. Thanks!
YAY!! Congrats!!! 😀
Wonderful! You look beautiful in your dress, and so happy! Thanks so much for sharing the pictures with everyone. I do like the outdoors graduation. It represents the whole world you have waiting for you, no walls to hold you back. Have a great summer, and keep the posts coming. ;o)

You look fantastic in the dress and heels but the most important thing was you had fun. The mad hatter paintings are awesome. It looks like a lot of work was put into Project Graduation. Yet graduation is really just a first step of many and there’s a whole world out there waiting for you. Just keep the positive attitude and you’ll do alright. Life has its ups and downs but I know my life got much better after I graduated high school. I bet you will find that yours does too 🙂

Hi Anna
Congratulations on graduation. Gorgeous dress, gorgeous girl. Keep up the great work and hope to see you pass my way (Timberwolf HQ) soon.
Timberwolf
New Jersey sure does graduation differently than we do in California. I enjoyed getting to see how you all do it. That post graduation party must be like our prom, but it’s nice that all the kids get to go. Then the post-post party is what we call sober grad, but yours seems a bit fancier. Congratulations.
Congratulations!
