I sell it on ebay

So, I finally got my ebay business up and running. Took me a little motivation and pushing but I did it! I have been interested in selling items on ebay since I can remember. My first item I decided to put on ebay is this jack russell terrier dog figurine I have. Its very cute and needs a home. Soon, I will be putting more items on ebay. I am just happy I finally started my ebay business. One of many things I dream of doing. To check it out click here.

Christmas coming quick

Yup, that beautiful time of year is here again. Christmas music blasting on the radio and non stop caroling on commercials brings it to reality. I am not complaining because Christmas is my favorite holiday. I enjoy driving home in the dark and seeing all the wonderful Christmas lights shining. It just opens my eyes that this fulfilled year is coming to an end. Brings back all the memories of the year that were great.

I have done most of my Christmas shopping but still have to get a few more items. Thats right, I am Santa Anna. Ho ho ho! Keep it on the low, but I still have to get gifts for my pack. Maybe some special treats and toys. They arent really picky. Even kisses and hugs they will enjoy.

This is our Christmas card that I created in photoshop. Isnt it great? The main photo is of my girl, Princess being in the Christmas spirit. The photo was actually taken for my photography class when I was in school but it makes a perfect Christmas card. I love my family and wouldnt give it up for anything. We are perfect.

A fun birthday Saturday

The best woman in the world had a birthday yesterday and we had a great day celebrating it. Thats right, it was my mother’s birthday and she turned fifty ten. Do you get it? If not you will at the end of the post. Anyways, my mom and I went to Ocean Grove for the day. It is a lovely seaside resort with magnificent Victorian architecture. Every house is different and unique in its own way. The shops are cute and the people  are very friendly. My mom would love to move there. I better start saving up. Hehe.

We walked to the beach even though it was freezing out. Luckily, I was smart and dressed warmly instead of dressing stupidly. It seems like my mom and I go to the beach at least once every winter for some reason. It is nice there but sure cold. While we were standing on the beach we saw these two people feeding tons of seagulls and pigeons. They are lucky the birds didnt gang up on them and take the paper bags from their hands.

A few times all the birds took flight and flew over our heads. Then they would all regather near the people with the food. It was awesome but definitely not a situation to be in if you are scared of birds. The whole experience reminded me of the movie, The Birds.

After we had a great day at Ocean Grove we came home. But the celebration wasnt over yet. I wanted to get her a cake to make the day perfect. So, first I went to A&P and got a wonderful rich chocolate mousse cake but it wasnt complete yet. I looked around the store for the numbers I needed but I couldnt find them. So, then I drove to Stop & Shop and found the numbers. If you put 6 and 0 together, what do you get? Fifty ten. Happy birthday mom! Remember age is just a number. It isnt who you are.

No bite can bring me down

I am a working woman now. For a while I was losing hope on getting the job I wanted but I got lucky. The Best Friends doggie daycare  manager called me about a week ago and scheduled an interview with me. I was so excited. Of course I told my mom and everyone right away. I couldnt contain my happiness. The interview went well and the official day I got hired was November 18. Yesterday was my first day at work and it was great but it took a good bite at me.

I had to wake up at 6 am to get ready for work at 7. That wasnt easy to do because I am not a morning person but I did what I had to do. For the first day I trained with a very nice lady. Its great because everyone there is friendly and nice. I learned everything pretty quickly that I have to do as a kennel worker. Feeding, washing, scrubbing and everything else that I have to do with the cats and dogs. Its a good job for me because its all physical work so I stay busy and happy. Plus, I get to be around dogs all day. Nothing better than that to me.

My first work day was good until I encountered one dog. Best Friends takes in rescue dogs at times so they have a place to stay. So, the lady opened the dogs cage door slightly to put food in and the dog squeezed out. I should of listened to my gut feeling when I heard that pit bull bark aggressively at me earlier. I knew that was no fear bark but my mind was telling me why would a dog at a doggie daycare ever be fully aggressive like that. So, when the dog got out it ran over and attacked me right away. Start to attack my legs and then start to go for my arms. All I did while the girl was trying to get the pit bull away from me was trying to keep myself standing because I knew if the dog brought me down I would be dead meat. It felt like forever before the lady pulled the dog off me but thank goodness she was there with me. Thats right, I survived being attacked by a pit bull.

The pit bull took some good bites at me which meant I had to get a few stitches. Let me tell you, the dog attack was not the most painful part. The after math was the hardest pain to deal with. First, I was taken to a medical center where they cleaned the wounds and checked it out. I started to freak when the doctor touched the bite on my wrist. She was worried it might have affected my nerves and bones there so she sent me to the emergency room. Guess where they put this nineteen year old? In the pediatric area which I am not complaining about. I do better with nice, caring doctors and nurses. I connected well with the doctor and nurses who worked with me so I wasnt a meany to them. They took x-rays of my wrist to make sure nothing was damaged. Luckily everything was in the right place. The next experience in the ER was the worst. Getting my wounds flushed out hurt like a….!!! Really really painful. Couldnt contain my tears and was ready to just run out of there. But I stayed and dealt with the pain like the tough gal I am. Next, they put some stitches in which is the first time I ever got them. Lastly, they put some ointment on and band aids. Now I am home healing. In lits of pain but handling it well. Its hard to do anything because I am right handed and thats the arm the dog decided to chomp at.

I cant go back to work for about a week. I am in a lot of pain and cant risk making it worse. Now I wont fear anything at work. Thats right, being attacked by a pit bull did not make me want to quit my job. It actually shows I can handle the good and the bad of working with dogs. This attack didnt put any fear in me towards dogs. I was born a dog lover and thats the way I will be for eternity.

Senior Citizen Barbie – Where is Ken?

The other night I was walking down the sidewalk in the freezing cold and in the distance I saw a little pink dot coming towards me. It slowly came closer and closer until I realized it was…Barbie! She seemed lost and confused but she wouldnt let anything or anyone stop her. Puffing her cigarette and zooming along with her styling walker she was bound to get where she was going. I offered to let her rest at my house for awhile but she denied any help. Watching her go off in the distance I knew she was looking for her hubby Ken. If you find him please send him back to Barbie Dream Nursing Home where she will be waiting for his return.

Written test flunker

I had my written drivers test Wednesday morning and I failed. There are fifty questions and you are allowed to get ten wrong but I got eleven. I even studied a lot which is rare for me to do. Made me so mad and upset. Especially, since the very first time I took the written I passed. Its hard since I dont allow imperfection for myself. I am almost nineteen and I still dont have my license. I wonder if I will ever pass it now. Even if I do eventually pass there wont be room to take the road test until the end of September or later. Yup, thats how full the schedule is. By then my permit will expire so who knows what will happen. I hope eventually this will all work out because driving is my passion.
So, to keep my mind from beating myself up for failing I worked on some photography today as you can see above. I think I made a pretty cool selective color photo. Funny thing is my eyes arent blue. Just sometimes depending on the lighting my eyes get a blue tone to them. I made all sorts of interesting stuff in photoshop. A good way to show yourself is through art. I also created some videos today. Creating videos makes me feel better because I am not going to be down in front of a camera. Thats no fun to watch. So, I put a smile on, hit record and ta da, my mind focuses on making a good video.
I really hope everything works out soon. I am not so confident right now. I was feeling so motivated for my license which is rare for me since I have low self esteem and low motivation. I am a driver but not a test taker. I will eventually get my license because its possible. I dont have to be positive because I just end up being mad and disappointed with myself. So, now it is time to just wait for the day I take Baby Blue out for a long drive on my own.

Pack away and throw away

Today I packed away all of mom’s Italian pitchers that she had in her glass cabinet. No, we arent moving and she is definitely not selling them. We are just clearing a lot of stuff out from the first floor because we are getting our wood floors refinished soon. Our wood floors have no protection. Its raw wood. Its time to get them refinished to protect them from the dogs and everything else that walks on them.

Its never easy when there is always a dog getting in the way. As you can see Lady decided to lay on the newspaper that I was using to wrap up the pitchers. But I didnt make her move. I left her laying there and used the pieces of newspaper that she wasnt laying on. Yes, thats right. She got me wrapped around her paw. Just look at that beautiful sweet face! She is so huggable. I give her at least one hug a day.
Oliver was not far from me either. He was watching me the whole time. If he ever turns into a human he would know how to do everything. He is such a smart boy and the cutest!

As you can see it is junk night here. My mom puts out stuff early to give people a chance to come by and take what they like. People did come by which is nice because free stuff is always great. Hehe! I sometimes like walking around and seeing what stuff other people put out. It can be dangerous though if my mom sees something that she likes because she might just bring it home. Dont let my mom see chairs. We have enough chairs Mom! What is your favorite junk night item you see or have?

A city meet up

Isn’t Time Square in New York City amazing? All the lights, action and people. I am thankful to live near the greatest city in the world. I may not be a city gal but I do believe everyone should visit NYC at least once in their life. Anyways, my mom and I went into the city Sunday afternoon to meet up with some friends of hers that she hasn’t seen in a long time. It was nice that my mom invited me along. A lot of teenagers may not like hanging out with their mom and their friends but I love it. I get a long better with older people and I always have. Maybe its because they have lived longer and have more knowledge.

One day at a time

Since I graduated I feel like everyone (not my mom) wants me to be off to college by Fall. Its like a military draft. All graduate high school students must go to college by fall or you are doomed. I get how college is important. I get how its different from high school. I understand how college helps you in the future. I listen to all the people with their knowledge but no one seems to understand and listen to me.
