Thats right! I got my used jeep patriot that I wanted. The surf blue pearl one. I got it yesterday up in the country. I was going to blog about the big news but I fell asleep early. I guess all the excitement knocked me out. Anyways, I love it! Inside and out. The patriot is actually smaller than the Honda CR-V that we have. Its a funsize car for a funsize girl. I just cant stop admiring it.

I still have my permit but my mom knew like I did that this was the car for me. It was a lot like knowing that our dogs were the dogs for us. Its going to take a little time to get use to a new car but my eagerness to drive will keep me motivated. Motivation and a positive attitude is what I need to succeed at driving or I will throw everything away and thats the last thing I want to do. I cant let my fear eat me alive. See, I am a pretty good driver and with a little more practice and consistency I will be able to ace my drivers test in a few weeks.

I havent decided on a name yet for my patriot. I was thinking Candy, Dolly or maybe just Girl. Except problem with girl is I call Princess my girl. What do you think? I might call it Candy because she (yes its a female car) sure looks like a big piece of delicious candy. By the way, the CR-V is named Big Betsy. Hehe. My mom does like Big Betsy better than my car but that is why Big Betsy is her car and the patriot is mine. I am also a Jeep gal. Always loved them. Maybe because they are country sporty kind of cars.

Princess has not been in the patriot yet. She has seen it from the window and was confused why there was another car in the driveway. She will be so excited when she gets to take a ride in it. When I get my license I plan on taking her with me a lot of the time since she is my sidekick. By the way, she calls shotgun. Hehe. Anyways, I am very happy with my car. I feel like its another big step in my life. It will help me with work and accomplishing my dreams. So, if you see a bright blue jeep patriot, make sure to look carefully because it might be me and Princess driving around. See you on the road!

  1. Congrats on your exciting new purchase! What a fun and exciting way to kick off your summer and your soon-to-be post-graduation life! 🙂

You seem to have a really terrific, supportive mom who wants to help you make your dreams come true. That’s such a blessing.

  2. That is a deee-licious set of wheels. You’ll know when the right name comes to you. It’ll be a comfortable name. I can see Princess with a matching blue bow in her hair! Driving takes getting used to, soon your responses will become automatic and you won’t even think about it. If you can find an unpaved road or some off road open area where you can practice turning, stopping and accelerating at different speeds to experience how your car responds will help…good luck, I know you’ll be fine..have fun!

  3. I bought 4 of these for my inspectors at work a year ago and it seems to be a great vehicle.. Congrats girly…I hope you enjoy it!

  4. i’m more into classic ford pick-ups, the ones suited for hard country side work, but your new wheels are nice anyway.
