So, my mom, the three dogs and I spent the weekend up at the cabin for the first time this year. Lets say it did not start off the way we hoped. Since we do not go up during the winter we turn off the water. When my mom turned the water back on the water heater was pouring out all over the floor. Stuff was getting soaked and the dogs were trying to drink it. It was a hectic but thank goodness for a helpful neighbor who knew how to fix the problem.
As you can see from the two cabin photos, Princess watches me every second I am outside without her. I think she believes if I am outside she must be outside too. All the dogs had a good time at the cabin. Even though it was really hot this weekend the dogs got a walk around the lake. I took Oliver first in the morning and then the girls in the afternoon. They enjoyed their walks but drank tons of water after. A tired dog is a happy dog, as I like to say. That reminds me! I really need to shave Lady and Oliver down to give them their summer cuts. Also, Princess needs some trimming.
It was hot this weekend, but I enjoyed it since I am not a fan of cold weather. Thats where my mom and I differ. She likes the cooler weather. It kinda messed up her whole weekend because she did not spend as much time outside as she wanted to. She did get some weeding done though. Uhoh! That means we will be buying mulch soon. I better keep my muscles since I am the strong one. Strong Russian muscles!
Overall, it was a nice weekend. Hot but I enjoyed it. It is nice to get away once in awhile from the hustle and bustle of a busy suburb. The country is the place I love. Just land, quietness and wildlife. Except, some country people can be pretty creepy but just gotta stay away from them. Hehe. Anyways, its great to be home. I mean I love the country but I love my home more. Just my safe place with all my stuff. I hope you all had a nice weekend and stayed cool. Going to chillax for a little and then get some sleep since I have to wake up early for school. Yuck! Talk to you all soon. Peace.
