Pears pears and more pears!

Every year the little pear tree in our front yard grows more pears each year. Except, we never get to eat them. Why? Because the greedy but cute squirrels always take them before they are big enough to eat. This year is different though. We still have all the pears and they are almost ready to eat. Where are the squirrels? It was a mystery for a little but I put my brain to work and figured it out. We havent filled the bird feeders in the backyard for months which attracted squirrels. Which means they probably moved on to other areas. Arent I brilliant? So, now we got lots of pears on our tree. Lucky us.

Dont they look yummy? I bet they will be juicy soon. Pears are so delicious. Anyone want one or two? Maybe I will share with the squirrels. Take some for myself and leave the rest for the outside critters. Keep the rain and sun coming and make these pears big!

Fireworks

Flying Fireworks

I know its way past fourth of July but I have to share my firework photos with you all. I had fun photographing them. They are not perfect but they came out pretty nicely. Especially, since it was my very first time photographing fireworks. Hope you enjoy them!

Fourth of July Parade

Yesterday marked the hundredth year of celebration of fourth of July in my town. That is why we had the parade yesterday instead of the actual day. I accomplished my assignment and I am very proud of myself. I set my alarm to wake up, got up and ready, grabbed my camera and walked over to where the parade would be. It was in the high ninety’s and the sun was shining high but it was worth it. Even though it was boiling out people still had great spirit for the holiday. I took over three hundred photos of the parade and kept around a hundred of them. Here are a few of them. Enjoy the parade!

Let the bleeding hearts bloom

I would have to say bleeding hearts are my favorite flowers. All flowers are pretty but they just stand out to me and they are so unique looking. Every year I am so excited and happy when they bloom in our backyard. When I saw they bloomed I went outside to photograph them before it was too late. If I missed out I would of been so upset, but I am happy with how the photo above came out. I captured the beauty and the delicateness of these magnificent flowers. What do you think?

A Hot Country Weekend

So, my mom, the three dogs and I spent the weekend up at the cabin for the first time this year. Lets say it did not start off the way we hoped. Since we do not go up during the winter we turn off the water. When my mom turned the water back on the water heater was pouring out all over the floor. Stuff was getting soaked and the dogs were trying to drink it. It was a hectic but thank goodness for a helpful neighbor who knew how to fix the problem.

Contests Photography

The photo revealed!

I have decided on the photo I am going to enter in to the town photo contest. As you can see from the photo above, I did keep score just like I said I would. I have to thank all of you for your votes and opinions. I had fun reading them and it helped me to decide on the perfect photo. So many great photos but only one could be entered and I chose…

#7 (hand of remembrance), because it represents my town the most. All the photos are winners to me but this one is the best for this contest. I know #1 is one of my best photos ever, but you can really find a flower anywhere. Also, you all know how much I love my dog photography and how my dogs are all winners but that really does not represent my town. I mean it does to me but no one else would understand that. So, my pooches will have to wait and win other photo contests.

I really think the photo, hand of remembrance, is a winner. I am also using that title since it is catchy and good. Dont you agree? I am excited. Photography contests are fun. I need more of them! Anyways, I will email it in tomorrow and wait until I hear the results. Then, I will let you all know. Patience! Good thing I have some. Hehe. I hope everyone had a nice Saturday and I hope Sunday goes well for you. Hope to talk to you all soon. Hugs.

Town Photo Contest – I Need Your Help!

So, the town photo contest is finally here and I need your help! It is my last year to enter because I will be graduating soon. As some of you remember last year I won second place and the year before that I one first. I need to enter a photo by April 19 but I am at a halt. I can not decide which photograph to enter. I need to choose a photo that represents my town through my eyes. Yes, all these photos were taken in my town. Now, I just need to narrow it down to one magnificent photo. Help!

So, here are 10 photos. Yes, 1o! Sorry, I could not get the list any smaller since I love them all. Hehe. Anyways, I would like to know which ones are your favorite, that can win the contest and why. Here we go…

2. Puppy Love Oliver

3. Laughing Lady

4. Playground Princess

5. Crazy Callie Cat

6. Snowstorm

7. Hand of Remembrance

Spring Has Sprung

Walking outside in a t shirt. The windows down in the car. Blooming plants. Everything seems to be coming alive slowly but surely on this first day of spring in New Jersey.
