Drops on the mirror

Quick rain shower in the morning left rain drops on my jeep’s mirror.

Beautiful butterfly weekend

My mom, the dogs and I went up to the cabin this weekend and the weather was wonderful. Not too hot and not very humid. In the garden at the cabin we have butterfly bushes that I never really been a fan of. Not because I dont like them. Its just because I am not a fan of bees and attracting them is not something I like doing, But, it is worth it because seeing the beautiful delicate butterflies makes everything seem wonderful.

At times it is hard to photograph butterflies because they move a lot. Always moving their wings and flying to another flower.  Just have to watch them and get a shot before they fly off. Its so worth it though!

A bumble bee! I had to be very brave to get this close to him. Just the buzzing noise of bees makes me cringe. If you ever hear me screech and see my running very fast its probably because I heard and saw a bee or wasp near me.

Now, this little creature I have no clue what it is. First, I thought it was a big bee and my mom thought it was a baby hummingbird. But it looks like a bee butterfly doesnt it? Does anyone know what this is? Its very cool. I just dont have a clue what it is. Its a hummingbird moth.

The Hanging Pear

This is probably my favorite photo that I took yesterday of the pear tree. The composition is awesome and it has a nice soft feel to it. Kind of like it shows the fragile side of nature. Anyways, I am spending most of my day fooling around with photos. So, I decided to convert my pear photo to black and white to see how it looks. It came out nicely. Even though I do prefer the color one I do like the black and white one also. What do you think?

Pears pears and more pears!

Every year the little pear tree in our front yard grows more pears each year. Except, we never get to eat them. Why? Because the greedy but cute squirrels always take them before they are big enough to eat. This year is different though. We still have all the pears and they are almost ready to eat. Where are the squirrels? It was a mystery for a little but I put my brain to work and figured it out. We havent filled the bird feeders in the backyard for months which attracted squirrels. Which means they probably moved on to other areas. Arent I brilliant? So, now we got lots of pears on our tree. Lucky us.

Dont they look yummy? I bet they will be juicy soon. Pears are so delicious. Anyone want one or two? Maybe I will share with the squirrels. Take some for myself and leave the rest for the outside critters. Keep the rain and sun coming and make these pears big!

Happiness with Yourself

I have some news about Lady. Good news! The vet called a few days ago and said the results came back and it is not a cancerous mass. Yay! It is probably just an irritation or infection from a cut or something she got. She is still wearing the cone of shame because we tried it without the cone and she went right back to licking it. Hopefully soon it will be fully healed so the cone can come off her and she can relax comfortably.

So, school is done in a month. A month! Holy smokes. Soon, all the school years will just be memories. Looking back, its kind of a miracle that I am actually going to graduate. A few years ago graduation did not even seem possible for me but I made it through. Now, people congratulate me and ask me what my plans are for the future. I know some people look down at me because I am not going to college but I know myself well enough that I would not survive in college. I may not end up the most successful person in peoples eyes but that to me does not matter. You know what is most important in life? Being happy with yourself. Think about it. If you are not happy with yourself and what you have accomplished within yourself than how can you ever be totally happy with life. Just something to think about.
