Spread the love

Happy Valentines day!

There is never enough love to share in the world. You should  spread the love everyday, but just in case you dont remember the rest of the year, there is always today! Give your family hugs and kisses and tell them all that you love them. You just might make their day. Look at the chocolate my mom got me for valentines day. They are very yummy and delicious! Want one?

Christmas

A calm Christmas

I know I am writing this post kind of late but I have been lazy with my photography editing. Anyways, I had a nice Christmas day with my mom at home. We didnt bring Grandma over this year because she isnt as strong as she use to be. But my mom and I did go see her Christmas day for a little bit. She is always happy to see us even though she may not remember later on.

I bought my mom three gifts this year and she loved them all. First, I got her an Italian bowl that I found in one of my favorite antique stores because she collections Italian ceramics. Good thing I know my mom’s taste in ceramics. Second gift I got her was an Italian phrases calendar. By the end of 2011 she will be talking full blown Italian. The last gift I got my mom was a zebra pattern snuggie. Hehe. Doesnt she look nice and cozy in it?

I enjoyed everything my mother got me also. She got me all different car accessories that are good to have in the car at any time. Safety first right? Right! She also got me a gift certificate to Dunkin Donuts and Kohls. Plus, she got me other little nick knacks. Thanks mom!

When my mom and I got home we cooked a Christmas dinner. We had turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and gravy. Let me tell you we werent the only one who enjoyed the food. As you can see Lady got some gravy all over her face. At least she is happy about it. I am amazed Princess or Oliver didnt try to lick it off her. What a dirty girl she is!

Christmas coming quick

Yup, that beautiful time of year is here again. Christmas music blasting on the radio and non stop caroling on commercials brings it to reality. I am not complaining because Christmas is my favorite holiday. I enjoy driving home in the dark and seeing all the wonderful Christmas lights shining. It just opens my eyes that this fulfilled year is coming to an end. Brings back all the memories of the year that were great.

I have done most of my Christmas shopping but still have to get a few more items. Thats right, I am Santa Anna. Ho ho ho! Keep it on the low, but I still have to get gifts for my pack. Maybe some special treats and toys. They arent really picky. Even kisses and hugs they will enjoy.

This is our Christmas card that I created in photoshop. Isnt it great? The main photo is of my girl, Princess being in the Christmas spirit. The photo was actually taken for my photography class when I was in school but it makes a perfect Christmas card. I love my family and wouldnt give it up for anything. We are perfect.

My father is my mother

First off, I want to wish all the fathers out there a happy fathers day. I hope you got your lawnmower, toolbox or alone time that you wanted. If not then what did you get?! As you all know my mom is my dad all in one. Isn’t that neat? Its pretty sweet. I do like the rare species in life. Anyways, I do not celebrate Father’s Day. I am perfectly happy with just my mom. Except, it would be nice to have a man around sometimes. Like when we put a chandelier up in the dining room. My mom can get the lights on but couldn’t turn them off. Also, when we had piping explode in the bathroom and we had to call an emergency plumber late at night. Now those are some memories we just laugh about now. How about when a boy wants to take me out on a date? A father would be good to scare them so much that they pee in there pants so they will be a gentleman. And if you plan on taking my mom on a date, I better approve you first. Also, she must be home by twelve! No sooner and no later. Hehe.

Valentines Day is for Everyone!

Ever feel like your left out during Valentines Day because you do not have a boyfriend or girlfriend? No husband? Let me tell you something. You do not need one to celebrate.  That whole look on this day is not right. It can cause a lot of sadness on a day that you should be happy and feel loved. You have other family members and friends to celebrate with. You are loved.

I had a lovely valentines day. You know who I spent mine with? A lady I love so much. She has my heart. I spent my day with my mom. We went driving around the country together listening to music. Taking photos and having laughs together. That to me was a great Valentines Day. So, I hope everyone had a lovely day and you are loved. Believe it! HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

Remembering 2009

Its time to say goodbye to 2009 and welcome 2010. Even though 2009 is coming to a close there are events that will never be forgotten. Every year has its ups and downs but its the up parts that are worth remembering. I thought I would share and refresh your memory of some of the grand events of the year of 2009.

One memory of 2009 is turning 18 years old. The one age all teenagers seem to be so excited for. Why? I have a few ideas. It is considered the age of maturity and being a grown up. Except one thing. Age is just a number and it is not who you are. Another reason is because it is the legal age that we teens can move out from our parents and be free. I told myself I would end up doing that when I am 18 but did not happen and I have no regrets. Living on your own at such a young age is way too hard so I am thankful to be with my mom.

Another memory which was very exciting was becoming a senior in high school. The last year of school I have to do. Unless I decide to go to college or something but its the last I got to be stuck in torture. That leads to the main reason why I am excited for 2010. Graduation!!!

There is one memory that is my all time favorite of 2009. Do you think you know what it is? If you have read my blog for a long time you should know or maybe know. It has to be Callie. Having her part of the family is the greatest memory of the year. She is full of life and just a joy to have. I am glad I fell in love with her and scooped her up into my arms.

I hope you all have a lovely and fun new year and make a lot of great memories in 2010. Celebrate and shoot those fireworks high in the sky. Bye bye 2009 and hello 2010!

Christmas Eve Plus A Birthday

We just dont celebrate Christmas Eve today in my family. Today is also my Grandpas birthday. Even though he passed away a few years ago he is never forgotten. We may not be partying down here but I bet he is partying up in heaven. Telling his jokes to everyone and eating cake. My Grandpa was my father figure to me and he was the sweetest guy in the entire world. Happy Birthday Grampa. By the way, the photo above is my grandpa and I.

So, today I wrapped the three Christmas presents I got my mother. Took me a long time since I cant wrap. I forgot how to partially but I tried my best. Callie had fun getting in my way and playing with the wrapping paper. Silly cat. Anyways, I hope she will like the three gifts. I think she will. Its really the thought that counts. Cant show you the gifts yet but I will tomorrow. Keep patient. Santa will deliver them soon.

Yes, the dogs and the cat have gifts for Christmas too. They are part of the family so of course they are on the gift list. The dogs are lucky I did not find any cute clothes that I wanted for them this year. Hehe. This year the dogs are getting some treats and toys. For Callie’s first Christmas with us she is getting little toy mice to bat around. Sorry Callie no real mice allowed in my room.

I took these two photos of the dogs today. Well, I took a set but I thought I would just share two and these are the two favorites of mine. I was thinking how we needed some pack portrait. So, here are two Christmas portraits of my pack. Amazingly they all stayed still and cooperated. What do you think of them?

Before you know it Christmas will be here. So, I will wish everyone an early Christmas just in case you wont be around tomorrow. My grandma is coming over for Christmas, which will be nice. Its always great to have the family together. Hope everyone has a joyful Christmas and has fun. I will talk to you all soon and will post my Christmas day adventure tomorrow night. Ho Ho Ho! Merry Early Christmas.

Spirit of Christmas

The snow on the ground. The loads of people rushing around to gather their last few Christmas gifts. The smell of gingerbread and all the lights express the spirit of the holiday. I love Christmas and its not just because of the gifts. Its because the holiday brings everyone together. Seems to bring the love out of the people you usually dont see that much love from. Christmas is a time to be with family, friends and have a smile on your face.

I created this years Christmas card in photoshop. It was fun and I enjoyed making it. What do you think of it? Anyways, I hope everyone is excited for Christmas and is ready to get and give gifts to the ones you love and care about. Stay warm and full of Christmas spirit.

Snowy Sunday Romp

It snowed all day yesterday which gave us 3-5 inches of beautiful white snow to play in. Lets just say the dogs had a blast romping around, while I froze my tush off. Since the dogs felt like running and jumping through the snow I grabbed my camera and starting photographing the acttion…

There goes Oliver starting the playtime by getting lady to chase him. Look at that boy jump!

Lady is the least fond of snow so she just plays for a few minutes and then stands on the porch to watch. Doesnt she look cute in the christmas collar?

Oliver just kept jumping over that branch as if it was no difficulty. He would be so good at agility if he could keep focus for more than a second.

Oliver zooming by to see how fast he can go. Go Oliver go!

The opponent… Princess.

Oliver takes his jumping moves all over her. She stands strong.

Princess tries to bring Oliver to the ground. She fails.

Next, Oliver turns and slows down the Princess with his skilled moves.

Since Princess is middle aged the two opponents decided to take a quick break together before turning against each other.

Oliver stretching and showing off his cute Christmas shirt that says fleas navidad.

Look at that messy snowy face he has. Thats a face of fun.

Before going after Princess Oliver decided to see if Lady wants to join in…she refuses.

Now look at Princess’ face. She is showing off all the snow on her face. She wants to win the contest of most snow on face. You win girl!

Oliver trying to shove Princess out of the way because he thinks he has the better singing voice. I will let Lady decide on that one.

Oliver got what he wanted. He got Princess after him again. The challenge is back on.

Both standing strong. Who will take out who?

The race is on. Run!

A cropped version of the phoot above. You can see how serious Oliver is about winning. Making sure Princess wont pass him.

Ah, and Princess won the race! Dont worry Oliver there is always next time.

Yoda Princess romping around to celebrate.

Princess is hoping you all enjoyed the action and photos.

Stay tuned for the next challenge when the dogs decide to romp around again.

Peace.

A Thankful Thanksgiving

Do you know why I love Thanksgiving? Alright, besides all of the good food and seeing family. Its a time to remember of everything that I am thankful for and I cherish. I mean really we should all realize what we are thankful for everyday but sometimes we forget.

There is so much that I am thankful for. I am not going into deep detail because the list probably would never end. The main two people that I am thankful for are my mother and my grandma. I would not be the person that I am today if it was not for their guidance and love. My family may be small but its strong and we stick together through everything. Love is stronger than anything. Thanks mother and grandma.

Another thing I am thankful for are my furry family. They are always teaching me something through their patience, love and their unique personalities. They give so much love and sometimes more love than a lot of people out there. They may not talk but they really help guide me through life. Knowing that they will always love me and be there is all I need from them. Thanks Princess, Lady, Oliver and Callie.

Last thing that I am thankful for that I am going to share is Life. Sounds ridiculous? Well, its not. You never know when you could be taking your last walk, eating your last meal or even breathing your last breath. We all know life is short but sometimes we do not realize how short it can be. No one knows exactly when they are going to die. So, cherish every second of it and take every chance you get to enjoy it. Thanks God for giving me life.

It was a great day full of family time with my mom and grandma. Since, my grandma lives in an assistant living place my mom brought her over to our house for Thanksgiving. She had fun and enjoyed seeing me. Grandma has a tendency to repeat herself but what would you expect at her grand age. Hey, at least I will never forget our conversations. They are glued into my brain. She sure is one tough lady and enjoyed the food mom made. P.S. She thought it was Christmas. I guess she is excited for gifts. Do not worry Grandma, Christmas will be here shortly.

The only time you will ever see my mom spend hours in the kitchen cooking is for holidays like Thanksgiving. She is not a big cooker but when she does cook it tastes good. All the food was good today. Well, besides the zucchini, but thats because I dont like it. Eww. Icky. I did eat the turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, green beans and the mashed yams. I was stuffed after all that food. Probably gained a few pounds but thats alright. That will burn off pretty quickly.

I hope everyone had a nice thankful Thanksgiving like I did. Hope you all ate a lot and had a few laughs. I do hope you all took a moment and realized what you are truely thankful for. So, my question for you all is what is your favorite food to eat on Thanksgiving? Mine is stuffing. Its always yummy and good. Stay thankful. Peace.
