Beautiful Saturday

Howdy everyone. Its been a beautiful Saturday which is great. This morning we came up to the cabin and dropped off the two photos for the state fair photo contest. Do not worry I have the photos ready to share with you soon. It is lovely up here and I am happy. Not too hot and with blue clear skies. Thier is a perfect breeze blowing through the trees right now. I do not have a sinus headache anymore and I am feeling good overall.

Since it was lovely weather today I just had to spend some time outside. I took a few photos of flowers and my mother I need to edit still. Besides that I walked the dogs and then relaxed in my room working on some social media things on the internet. Tonight for dinner my mom and I went to Friendly’s for dinner and I had my usual chicken strips basket that was so yummy. Now I am home and chillin and surfing the net. My poor Princess is still in pain with her hurt foot but she still wants to chase those cats.

Isn’t this a great photo? I do not remember where I took this flower but I think it was in my mom’s garden. Anyways, its such a great photo and I hope you enjoy it. TGIF!

I know everyone is excited that it’s Friday and I you should be. My friday was long and slow. Not like I did anything but last night I had a really bad sinus headache and I could not sleep. I was up the whole night and today. I could of passed out a few hours ago but I did not want to waste the day sleeping. I am so thick headed and stubborn. Anyways, besides that I did chores around the house and worked with social media stuff on the computer. That was my exciting Friday.

Tomarrow morning my mom, the dogs and I are going up to the cabin. On the way there we are dropping off two photos I took for a photo contest at the State Fair in August. I will make a post with the two photos that I entered into the contest soon. Another thing is I have not started either of the two blogs yet. Maybe I will do that this weekend at the cabin if I can still “barrow” internet up there. I think for the social blog I am gonna call it aivztech. I mean yea its not like a simple title but it represents me. I am stick thinking and always taking more ideas.

Like the photo? Its my special girl Princess. Look at that adorable big pink nose she has. I love her so much. She was on my bed and I did a whole set of her but this was really the only one I liked. Yes, I am very picky with photos. I can take a hundred photos and only keep ten. Just the way I am. Which is not bad when it comes to photography because all I want is the best. Hot Humid Thursday

Hey everyone. Its one hot and humid rainy Thursday here in New Jersey. Surprisingly I woke up around six thirty in the morning which is very rare for me. I am a night owl which means I am up real late and sleep til ten or eleven in the morning. After my mother left for work I took Oliver and Lady for a walk. Then I came back and took Princess for a shorter walk because her foot is still hurting her from chasing a chipmunk in the backyard the other day. She is a hunter of the pack. Besides that I have just been doing some chores around the house and relaxing trying to stay cool.

What else…

Well, I am hoping to start my dog blog today and my social media technology blog today or tomarrow. My dog blog is going to be called Dog Dog Doggie and I have not decided on the social media blog yet. I was thinking maybe aivztech, techgurl101, technet or something else. If you have any ideas for a name for the social technology internet blog please share. I love suggestions. Also, I have been thinking about how I need to record more videos for youtube. I have been slacking on that and seriously need to get back to it. So, also if you have any ideas for videos please share.

Lastly, this photo was taken at the cabin in my mothers garden bed. Isn’t it pretty? Just bold and beautiful. I like the composition depth of field (DOF). Well, that’s all for now. Stay cool and safe and I will talk to you all soon I hope. Peace.

nature summer

Hosta Wednesday

So, this Wednesday has been going pretty well. Its a sunny clear day. This morning I woke up with Princess next to me which was lovely since she usually sleeps under my bed during the summer. She probably was on my bed because I groomed her yesterday so she does not have as much hair as she use to. Poor girl but she is looking good still.

After a little while from waking up I took my usual long bicycle ride on the path through some parks I am near. It takes about two hours total to go from my house to the end of the path and back again to my house. Its probably around 20 miles I bike ride. My mother got this little gadget to track how many miles I go but we haven’t attached it yet to my bicycle. It was a good ride. Not too many people out on the path because its during the week. I got home and felt refreshed and relaxed.

Summer is going well. Not a very hot summer yet but that is fine with me. Its hot but not mad hot. The weather is not bad. Some serious thunderstorms but mainly lovely weather.

The photo of these hostas was taken awhile ago but just opened it and edited it. Isnt it lovely?

Its amazing how lovely nature is. Just so beautiful and free. So many interesting plants to photograph and enjoy. Hope everyone has a lovely weekend and I will post again soon with more photos. Peace.

Photo Class Top 4

I know I haven’t posted in awhile which I seriously need to get back to doing more often. I have been busy and just plain lazy. Summer days getting to my head. Okay, so anyways. I am doing this three day photography class which is fun and good practice for me. Monday was the first class and I took 85 photos and printed out my top four favorites. Today was my second class and the two teachers who were two of the judges at the photo contest I entered for my town like them. I just thought I would share them with all of you and get your comments and critiques about them. Enjoy

Cabin dogs Lady My Dogs

Laughin Lady

Right now I am up at the cabin and luckily I can still “borrow” my neighbors wifi which is awesome. Friday and Saturday were rainy with a little sun but today the sun is shining high in the sky. I took some photos yesterday before it started raining but I think I might take some more today. Also, I am going to walk run around the lake with Oliver. He loves that and it tires him out which is always good. Princess and Lady had a walk around the lake with my mom this morning so they are fine. Except, they are going to be upset that I am not taking them also. Too bad girls its Oiver time. That reminds me I still need to groom Princess and Lady. Well, I will do it at home this week.

Like the photo? I love this photo. This photo is Lady in action. Doesnt it look like she is laughing? She is so photogenic. I had this photo stored in my still need to edit photos folder and I was amazed how clear her teeth are. Thats what happens when you have hundreds of photos to edit. You forget what you take and just get stunned when its an amazing photo. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

This afternoon we are heading back home. Which means I am going to get some Dairy Queen ice cream on the way. The dogs will enjoy the car ride. I will post again soon. Have a wonderful safe sunday.

Cabin Foods Weekends

An Early Friday Morning

Goodmorning everyone. Its a nice friday morning and right now I am watching a busy squirrel on a wire outside my window. It amazes me how well they can balance on their little feet. I woke up at 6:45 which is rare for a non morning person like me but I am awake and decided to enjoy the morning life. The birds are chirping away all around the house. They sound so lovely and are great singers. I let the dogs out in the backyard and they were surprised that I was the one letting them out instead of my mom. Oliver looks so cute and small with his summer haircut I gave him yesterday. Do not tell my two other dogs but I am bringing the clippers and other grooming supplies with me to the cabin so they can get their summer cuts too.

My mom, our three dogs and I are going to the cabin today for the weekend which will be nice and fun. I am going to take lots of photography and walks with the dogs around the lake. There is a lot more nature out there to photograph and enjoy. I love the country. Filled with wildlife and peacefulness. I will see if I have internet up there. I have been “borrowing” some from one of my neighbors. If I do not have internet up their it will be sad but I will have to wait til sunday evening to post again.

The photo is of a little home made pizza I made last night for myself. It looks good doesn’t it? Well it was really yummy. I can cook some things. Pizza, pasta, soup, pasta, cookies and pasta.

Schools out for summer…schools out…not forever

bumble bee Today was my very last day of school as a junior and now glorious summer starts. I do not have any big plans for the summer of 09 yet. All I know is there is no school to attend and I can just have fun and enjoy life. This summer I am taking this photography class which is going to be fun. I am always happy to learn more about photography and the opportunities out there. My mother and I will be going up to the cabin a lot which will be fun. I love being out in nature and swimming in the lake. The dogs love the long walk or runs around the lake when we are up there. Summer time is here and I am ready to enjoy it!

So what do you think of this bumble bee photo? I took it today when the sun was out for a few minutes before it got cloudy again and started to rain. I was in the front yard looking at the colorful flowers with my camera and the macro lense attached and saw this opportunity to capture this busy bee. This is the first photo I took of a bumble bee before because they scare me. I rather stay as far away from bees, wasps and anything else that buzzes and stings. I was thinking that this photo could of been better if the bee was not set right in the middle of the photo. Besides that I think this photo came out pretty nice.

Gray Go Away

The weather has been cloudy and rainy for about two weeks now and I am sick of it. It is causing me to have a massive sinus headache which kept me up all night with no sleep last night. Plus it is not helping my depression I have. Once in awhile the sun shines through the clouds and I get excited that the dark thick clouds are going to move away but then the sun dissapears again. Gray sky please turn into bright blue sunny sky.

I miss taking long bicycle rides in the park and going on long photography walks around the area. I want to take the dogs to the dog park but do not want to risk and go and then it starts pouring on us. Hopefully the sun will shine and stay shining soon.

I am done with all my finals. Finished them yesterday which History was my last one. I am not sure how I did. I am hoping I did okay. Today was a half day and all we did was sit and enjoy our last day in half of the classes we have. Tomarrow is a half day of school too and we go to the other half of classes we take. Also, it is the last day of school before summer time which is very exciting. Then I am a senior. Top dog. Ruler of the school.

I have been working on my photography in photoshop and came across this photo I havent edited yet. So I decided to fix it up and put it as the blog photo because it is dark and gloomy. That is what I have been seeing in the sky for awhile now.

I am going to work on more photography. Lets hope the weather gets better so I can go on more photography walks. Especially, since I am going to my cabin in the country this weekend. Peace.

Assignments Holidays

Father’s Day Photo Assignment

I am always trying to learn more and get critiqued about my photography. I love doing photography assignments because it teaches you more and gets you thinking. I talk to NikiCruz on twitter and he is a marvelous photographer. He gave me an assignment to photograph three things that a father would like for father’s day. This was kind of challenging for me since I do not have a father but i walked around my house and found some things that I thought fathers may like. It was fun and I hope to get more assignments soon.

I chose the grill to photograph because fathers like to cook on the grill a lot of the time. Camcorder for those fathers who like to film their family or anything else that interests them. Lastly, the dvd stack because fathers always like watching movies with their family or by themselves.

Let me know what you think. Critique these. I do not mind harsh comments but you can leave the positive comments too 😀
