The girls got class

The pack is completely groomed now. After, I groomed Oliver I groomed Princess and Lady. Now, they look like a complete package. They also all feel better with less hair. I thought I would share photos of Princess and Lady’s grooming experience.

Fluffy Princess before the shave down begins

Bobble head Princess. Half way done and as you can see she wasnt enjoying the rain.

Princess all shaved down. She now gets cold easily. Good thing I have tons of clothes for her.

Shaggy Lady

From dog to lion. I liked the lion look so much that I kept her as a lion for a few weeks.

Finished Lady. No matter what haircut Lady gets she always looks beautiful.

Who do you think looks better groomed?

My Dogs

From poodle to jack russell

The warm weather is coming and the dogs are furry and matted. Grooming is a must before summer gets here. Last week I groomed my first victim and now he looks totally different. Oliver was first in line and its a dramatic change for him.

Fluffy Oliver not sure whats coming.

The first day of grooming went pretty well. I shaved down his whole body and got most of his legs done. I decided to not start on his because I was tired and I know he gets feisty when i groom his head.

Let me tell you, he is not an easy dog to groom. Especially, the face. He is a wiggle worm and doesnt stop trying to jump off the grooming table. Also, he hates the dog shaver near his face. As you can see I was able to get one side of his face done but not the other.

He has half a schnauzer looking muzzle.

He still is cute.

An Oliver shake.

A few days later I decided to tackle the rest of his face. Instead of using the dog shaver I decided to use scissors. He cooperated better but still wiggled a lot.

With no hair left he buried under my bed covers to keep warm.

Vampire Oliver wants some bwood.

Even though he looks totally different he still is cute!

A jacket passed down from my first dog Mills to Oliver.

Callie spending time with big brother.

The finished product. Yes, its the same dog.

Spring fluff

Spring is finally here and the dogs are just as excited as I am. Princess is excited to chase the chipmunks and squirrels around. Lady is enjoying all the available water to drink out of pots and Oliver just loves romping around. The only thing is they are massively fluffy from winter but they will be groomed soon. Here are some photos of the pack enjoying the backyard when the snow went away.

Lady “Did I feel a rain drop?”

Oliver relaxing on the back porch

Oliver “Do you like my own personal uggs?”

Princess “Did you see which way that squirrel went?”

Snow furry fun

We had a really white winter this year in New Jersey and it isn’t over yet. I can say the dogs are enjoying it though. Romping and jumping through the snow and coming in with snow balls stuck to them. Oliver loves the snow the most. He gets so excited to run in it and has a blast jumping on Princess. Lady on the other hand enjoys just eating the snow and then coming inside. Here are some photos of the pack this winter.

“I did what I had to. Whats next?”

“Can we go in?”

Princess just enjoying the fresh air. I wonder if her tush is cold.

Oliver checking on his sister.

The scene from Lion King reenacted.

Oliver tries to take down Princess.

But Princess fights back.

So, Oliver tries a secret karate move on her.

When that doesnt work Oliver decides to charge her.

But Princess intervenes him and the match is a draw.

Lady leads the pack inside to warmth and food.

Thats my pack for you. Enjoying the beauty of winter. Do your dogs like to romp in the snow like Oliver or do they prefer the warmth of the house like Lady does?

Let it snow dogs!

We did not get any snow before Christmas but we sure got a lot after. We got three snow storms in about two weeks time. Lots of shoveling and careful driving but also full of fun. The dogs had a blast in it. Well, Lady is not a big fan of snow but Oliver seems to love it this year. He just runs and jumps right through it. The snow definitely doesnt phase Princess one bit. She just marches right through it like it wasnt even there.

Spunky Skinny Oliver

Besides catching up on sleep, I spent my Saturday grooming Oliver. He needed it badly. He was way overdue for a nice summer haircut. Oliver is pretty cooperative while getting groomed, besides trying to jump off the groomers table every minute. Thank goodness for a noose to hold this crazy boy up there. The only places he gets kinda aggressive with are his legs and face. I got his legs done but I decided to use scissors for his whole face because I did not want him to cut his tongue on the clippers. Thats the last thing I need! Good thing I am pretty good at styling with scissors.

The Spring Princess

Princess got her Spring haircut Sunday because the weather is getting warmer and she gets hot easily with her thick coat she has. She was not too happy with me. I mean she is the best dog out of the three to groom. Just stands there on the table being patient with me. She looks at me every once in a while wondering if I am done yet, but most of the time she keeps her head turned away. I mainly shaved down her body, belly and legs with a number seven blade. Princess and the two other dogs hate their feet groomed so that was the only challenge I had. I left her tail and just trimmed up her head a little bit. I think I did a pretty good job. Not perfect but I am satisfied with it. Now, the real challenge are the two other dogs that I must do one of these days. That will be fun. Oh, by the way Princess forgave me for torturing her when I let her snuggle with me on my bed Sunday night. Thats my girl!

Dogs In Hats

When you mix a hat with a dog you get really cute and funny results. So, I just could not resist having my dogs wear my cowgirl cap and photograph them. Lets say they were not the happiest dogs wearing it but they sure looked cute!

“Hey! I am Anna’s cowdog or would it be doggirl? I do not have a clue but I am sure styling this hat. “

“Excuse me. I cant see. Its all dark!”

“Yo, I am da dawg in da hood. Well, wait I mean dawg in the hat.”

“Take me out to the dog park. Take me to the people. Let me sniff the ground and get lots of love and maybe I will never come back” – Princess’ version of the song Take Me Out To The Ball Game.

“I am even cuter with this hat on. Now can I take it off?”

“My hat makes me tough. I should become a dog model.”

“I better get food after wearing this hat. Treat?”

This is how I spent my Thursday. Taking photos of my dogs in hats. It was fun and they kept their patience with me. Do not worry they got lots of love after. Hope everyone had a fun filled Thursday and smile because its Friday!

Bath Day

I spent most of my Saturday bathing the dogs. Killing the pesky fleas and making them smell good. The faces they gave me were so sad and cute at the same time that I could not resist grabbing my camera and photographing them. For your information they were not very fond of me for the rest of the day. Well, until it was dinner time and they became all lovey dovey. Dogs…gotta love them!
