Puppy Mill Pups

sleepingpetstorepupAren’t these puppies so cute in these photos? I will agree yes they are. But, before you say you want to buy one let me tell you something. I took these two photos of these cute puppies in a pet store. If you have never been told to not buy from a pet store I will tell you now. Please, do not buy from a pet store. Wanna know why? I will gladly tell you. If you do not already know the puppies in pet stores come from puppy mills.

Puppy mills are places where irresponsible people keep dogs in crowded dirty conditions where the poor female dogs just give birth over and over again. These dogs live a horrible life with not a lot of movement and little to no socialization. When the female dog cant breed anymore the puppy mill owners will leave her to die or just kill her. Puppy mill owners have no care for the life of the dogs they have. All they care about is getting the puppies that earn them money.

Also, let me share something. These puppies come from dirty unclean living areas. The parents do not go to the vet which means these dogs pass down diseases over and over again. You hear stories about people buying a puppy from a pet store and they end up spending thousands of dollars on a sick dog who may recover, who will have to live with the illness its whole life or the puppy dies.

twopetstorepupssleepingOne other thing is. If you buy from a pet store you are supporting puppy mills. Oh, one puppy wont make a difference in business. Let me tell you. One puppy sold tells the puppy mill owner that he is being successful and those poor dogs continue to live in that condition. Lets not support puppy mills. Instead we need to help stop them. Next time you go into a pet store just look and tell yourself that you are helping dogs by not buying a puppy from there. That is what I tell myself when I go into one. We all need to help the dogs and puppies who live sad unhealthy lives. Together we will bring an end to puppy mills and stop the pain these dogs live in.

Anyways, moving on to something exciting. It is almost Friday! Woohoo! The weekend is almost here. Be excited. We all love weekends. Ha, Callie is being a little crazy kitten running around. Jumping on to the bed and grabbing my feet and then jumping off. Callie loves to cause trouble but that is a kitten for you. Well, I am going to listen to some good music and relax. Chillax. Peace.

Monday Sweats

calliesleepingkittenIts been a hot hot hot Monday here in Northern New Jersey. I did not spend a lot of time outside today because I would be sweating like crazy and just a day I did not want to be outdoors.. Luckily I spent most of the time inside near my air conditioner. Keeping myself nice and cool. Besides the heat its nice sunny weather. If it was a little cooler I would of went on my bicycle ride. I will go in the next couple of days. I need to keep my strong legs. I need to do more push ups and stuff to keep my arms strong also.

Oliver spent the day with Princess, Callie and I upstairs. He is so interested in little Callie. He wants to play but he plays too rough for little Callie right now. She gets scared because he is barking right in her face and trying to play nip. She will slowly get use to him and bat him around a little which he needs. She will teach him a lesson or two. Callie is going to become one tough cat.

I know I know its another photo of Callie. She is adorable in this picture though. Little sleepy girl. She slept most of the day and now she is romping around playing with toys and exploring my room. I still do not have my camera but luckily I have the camera phone and the camera on the camcorder to take some photos. They do not work as well but they will do for now. I will try to make it more varied soon. I am going to relax, listen to some good music and talk to peeps. Peace

How to ignore your little brother

I know a lot of you already seen this video but I do enjoy watching it again and again. My mom recorded this awhile ago. She and I edited it together and it came out so well. The title fits the video perfectly. As you can see Princess has a lot of patience to ignore Oliver. Oliver is a young hyper boy who tries to get Princess to pay attention to him and play. Welcome Home Callie!

calliekittyHeres Callie! So, this little gal woke me up at six in the morning meowing so I got up and played with her for a little bit. Then after that I laid on the futon at the cabin with her and we fell asleep for a little. She is such a calm little kitty. Pretty relaxed for being away from her mother and siblings.

Today we came home and I brought her upstairs to my room where she will live. She explored it and is now laying next to me in bed. Princess does fine with her which is good because Princess stays in my room a lot with me. Also, Oliver is doing pretty well with her too. He just wants to smell and play with her. On the other hand, Lady wants to eat her. So, Lady can not come upstairs anymore. Which is fine because she prefers the downstairs where the food is anyways. Overall, this kitten of mine is settling in pretty nicely. She will get use to her new home. Welcome home Callie.

New Kitty!

calliekittieGot some big news. Look! I got the cabin kitten I always wanted from the very first second I saw her weeks ago. Isnt she cute? We decided to name her Callie. She is maybe a calico but someone said she might be a tortie which is more rare. I do not know but if you know your cat breeds let me know what you think she is.

How did I get her? Well, I got a long piece of grass and started to play with one of the stray orange cats that hangs around. So along came Callie interesting in the moving object. She started to grab at it and she got closer and closer. When this little kitten was in arms reach I bent down and picked her up. She was little scared at first but she settled down pretty quickly. Right now she is laying next to me on my bed at the cabin. I got a kitty I got a kitty!

Anyways, that is my exciting news. So everyone meet the new member of the family. Callie. You will see more videos and photos of her soon as she gets settled in her home.

It was a good day. Besides getting my kitty my mom and I went to Tractor Supply Company which is my favorite store in the country besides Walmart. After that we went swimming. The water felt so good because it is hot out here. So, I hope everyone else had a good exciting Saturday. I am going to snuggle the kitty a little more and relax. Purreace!

Fridayyy

Lady_Dog_ParkTGIF! Yes, I sure do love saying that. I say that about every Friday. Just another saying of mine that I can not resist. By the way, I dislike Michael Vick. Wow, that was random. Yes, I am a very random person at times. Michael Vick is on my dislike list. I have never heard of him before i started hearing all about the dog fighting he was involved with. Dog fighting is wrong in my opinion. I do not care if you want to argue with me because you can not change my mind about that. It is cruel and painful. Not just the fighting but also the conditions these poor dogs have to live in. Okay, I am done ranting.

So anyways, we came up to the cabin today. It is lovely weather here and suppose to be great this weekend which means I can swim in the lake. It will be lots of fun. I brought up my camcorder to record lots of videos. Today I recorded some so check out my youtube. There are some of my dogs and some cats and kittens. Also, I recorded a video of what I ate for dinner. It was a yummy dinner with lots and lots and lots of protein. Hehe. Here is the vid.

It was taken a while ago at the dog park in my town. She looks so great and happy in this photo. The light was wonderful. I sure love this photograph of her. What do you all think of it?

Wetland Wednesday

Crane_Bronx_ZooIts been rainy here all day. Rain rain rain! Geez. Please rain go away for a few weeks and come back another time. I want the shining hot sun so I can feel like it is summer and I can be outside more. I had a sinus headache today but its going away. Woohoo!

Did you all hear the news? The sad sad news? Brooks & Dunn are going to go their seperate ways after a 2010 tour. They have been together since 1990 but they decided it was time to end their duo. Brooks & Dunn, I will keep you in my ears and never forget one of the best country duo’s out there.

Okay, my camera situation…I do not feel like talking about the whole story. Just that its stil going to be a little while before I get my camera back. I will survive. I will find other things to do. Maybe, I will write more. Maybe I should share some of my poetry with  you all.

I took this photo a long time ago. It was freshman year in highschool. My biology class went to the Bronx Zoo. I took a few photos there of the great animals. This was one of the cranes. I thought this photo came out pretty nicely. Especially, since I was using a canon point and shoot. That was my first digital camera until that broke and I got my nikon d40. So, what do you think of the shot?

Well, I am going to stay up a little. I need some late nights this summer before I have school and start passing out early. I will be up for awhile surfing the net, listening to some good music and talking to homies. So stay safe and happy. Peace.

Lady Love

Lady_the_beauty_Anna_ZiskIt has been another hot day in New Jersey. Been in the basement most of the day where its cooler than my room. Plus, my mom’s computer is down here so I use it mainly for music and my laptop for my other computer programs. It keeps things moving at a nice speed.

Oh, good news. I started my two blogs I have been telling you I was going to start but kept putting it off. So now I have Social Tech Anna and Dog Dog Doggie running. They are just started but I will get them moving soon. If you have no looked at them yet please do. They soon will be two of the coolest blogs out there just like this one. Yea, you all know this is one of the best.

It is Lady love! Loooook! She is such a sweet faced dog. Just sitting there being patient while I take her photo a hundred times. This was taken awhile ago but one of my favorites. What do you think of this photo of Lady love?

It has been a good day. Maybe I did not do a lot but thats okay. I like my lazy days at times. I would be doing some photography if those idiots gave my nikon back! I swear I am going to send Oliver in there and have him put his smelly poop all over and then see what happens. They will never delay to give my camera back ever again. Fly Seagull Fly

Flying_Seagull_by_Anna_ZiskIt was sure hot here in New Jersey but with sun shining all around. It actually felt like summer time. It would of been a perfect day to swim with the fishes at the lake if I was there. I will definately go swimming this weekend when we are up there if it is nice weather.

So, my lovely mother of mine took my cracked screen laptop to the mac store today and I did not think I would get it back for a few days. When she got home I saw my white laptop her her arms. I was so suprised. Sadly, it is not fixed. It costs around seven hundred dollars to just fix the screen. So, instead my wonderful mother said we can go look at pc laptops and get one. She is the best single mom in the world. Oh, you want her? Too bad she is mine! Go get your own mommy. I love you mom! *kiss*

Some sad news. I still do not have my camera. I do not know when I will get my d40 back from them. These people seriously need to get it back and fix it so I can have it back in my small hands. How is this photographer gal suppose to practice and show off my photos to the world if I cant shoot them? Huh? Well, if I do not get it back in a week I might just have to go to the store and starting bitching. I will become their biggest hell. This little angel will become a big devil if I do not get my toy back soon.

Look. I see a bird! Its its a seagull. It is not a plane or superman. It is a seagull! Do you like the photo? I took it a long time ago when I went to the beach. It came out pretty clear. One of the best bird photos I have. Like my copyright stamp? I made it today for my photography. Anna is going pro.

Rock the Net

Staring_At_LadyI was cleaning up my room a little bit today and I came across my video camera. Yes, that video camera that has not been used in a few weeks. My poor Youtube channel with no new videos to share. I need to make more videos to share with y’all. Some crazy, wacky, fun, unique videos of me. Also, upload some videos of my pooches being goofy and cute. I have some video ideas in my head that I just need to stop freezing up and just make them. So if you have any video ideas you can share them with me.

Oh, also I am definately going to start my Social Tech Anna blog and my Dog Dog Doggie blog this week. I need to get those two blogs moving. Before I know it I will be wanting to start another one which will have to be added to the list of blogs that will never be started. The list of some day. My name is procrastination and I am proud of it.

One other thing. My laptop is going in tomorrow to get some repair so I will be without it for a few days. Noooo! But not fear I will be able to use my moms computer. So, I am all ready to continue my internet life with my great internet friends. Rockin the internet is my thang. Lets rock it all together. Who’s with me???

Awww, look! Its a photo of me and Lady having a staring contest. I took this a long time ago but it just so expressive. It is not the clearest photo but I still like it. Lady was fighting with me and so I told her we will settle this with a staring contest. You know who won? Me. That Lady turned her head and backed down. Ha! Miss toughy gave up. What a Lady! Still love her so much. She is the sneak of the family. So what do you think of the photo? Like? Dislike? Like Lady? Like Me? Like neither of us?
