I am telling you. My mom and I have the cutest dog in the whole world and his name is Oliver. Oh my gosh. Dont believe me? Just look at him! I can not express enough how cute and bubbly he is. Puts a big smile on my face every time he is near me. Sometimes its amazing that he is real. Never would thought such a cute heart tugging dog can be real but now I know. I have him! I wuv my little Oliver boy!
The long weekend is coming to a close. Time to go back to school. Noooo! Well, the long long weekend was fun. Anything is better than being in a school. Atleast, to me. Senior year is going by slowly but its slowly going faster. Just gotta keep up with the school work and stay away from the drama. Its horrible how girls can be so full of drama sometimes. It really just gets annoying when they try to get me involved. I always tell them that I do not choose sides. Its a girls life. Anyways, the photo above is my senior photo for my school. Do you know why I love Thanksgiving? Alright, besides all of the good food and seeing family. Its a time to remember of everything that I am thankful for and I cherish. I mean really we should all realize what we are thankful for everyday but sometimes we forget.
There is so much that I am thankful for. I am not going into deep detail because the list probably would never end. The main two people that I am thankful for are my mother and my grandma. I would not be the person that I am today if it was not for their guidance and love. My family may be small but its strong and we stick together through everything. Love is stronger than anything.Thanks mother and grandma.
Another thing I am thankful for are my furry family. They are always teaching me something through their patience, love and their unique personalities. They give so much love and sometimes more love than a lot of people out there. They may not talk but they really help guide me through life. Knowing that they will always love me and be there is all I need from them. Thanks Princess, Lady, Oliver and Callie.
Last thing that I am thankful for that I am going to share is Life. Sounds ridiculous? Well, its not. You never know when you could be taking your last walk, eating your last meal or even breathing your last breath. We all know life is short but sometimes we do not realize how short it can be. No one knows exactly when they are going to die. So, cherish every second of it and take every chance you get to enjoy it. Thanks God for giving me life.
It was a great day full of family time with my mom and grandma. Since, my grandma lives in an assistant living place my mom brought her over to our house for Thanksgiving. She had fun and enjoyed seeing me. Grandma has a tendency to repeat herself but what would you expect at her grand age. Hey, at least I will never forget our conversations. They are glued into my brain. She sure is one tough lady and enjoyed the food mom made. P.S. She thought it was Christmas. I guess she is excited for gifts. Do not worry Grandma, Christmas will be here shortly.
The only time you will ever see my mom spend hours in the kitchen cooking is for holidays like Thanksgiving. She is not a big cooker but when she does cook it tastes good. All the food was good today. Well, besides the zucchini, but thats because I dont like it. Eww. Icky. I did eat the turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, green beans and the mashed yams. I was stuffed after all that food. Probably gained a few pounds but thats alright. That will burn off pretty quickly.
I hope everyone had a nice thankful Thanksgiving like I did. Hope you all ate a lot and had a few laughs. I do hope you all took a moment and realized what you are truely thankful for. I spent most of my Saturday bathing the dogs. Killing the pesky fleas and making them smell good. The faces they gave me were so sad and cute at the same time that I could not resist grabbing my camera and photographing them. For your information they were not very fond of me for the rest of the day. Well, until it was dinner time and they became all lovey dovey. Dogs…gotta love them!
A lot of people do not start listening to Christmas music until a few weeks or days before the holiday and stop listening to it when Christmas is over. Not me. I start months before and continue listening to it after Christmas passes. What can I say. I just love Christmas music. The songs are beautiful, upbeat and just tell wonderful stories. I guess it is also because I love Christmas, but I will explain that more in detail when Christmas is right around the corner. There is not many Christmas songs that I do not like but there are certain singers that I just love singing Christmas songs. For example, Josh Groban has a great spiritual voice. My favorite Christmas song he does is Silent Night. Just makes the song so beautiful and touching. One of my top favorite singers, Carrie Underwood does a wonderful version of Do You Hear What I Hear. Her strong voice is perfect for the song. My last one I will share with you is Oh Holy Night sung by Celine Dion. Her beautiful voice just fills the song with emotion. The cd above is a great Christmas album. They do not have the versions of songs I mentioned but it is still a cd i recommend.
Christmas is not too far away so everyone be prepared. It will be here quicker than you know it. My mom and I do not get all Christmas-y until after her birthday which is December 4th. Its our rule. Anyways, it felt like it was coming today because of the chilly here. I was all bundled up in my sweatshirt today. Nice and cozy. There is a lot in life that inspires me to move forward and try to succeed. But dogs inspire me the most. With their eyes, expressions and just their passion to live in the day keeps me going. Princess who is in the photo above is my main guide in life. Thats my girl. The one I can hug hug hug and she will just stay where she is until I feel better. She has a lot of patience and that to me is very important in life. I use to be very impatient. At least when I was younger. I would go nuts if I did not get food in my stomach as soon as I was hungry. I may still be upset if I do not eat for a long time but I can wait now. I can sit in a restaurant and not throw utensils around and draw on walls. Okay, I never drew on walls when I was hungry but it sounded like something I would do if I had a crayon in my little hands.
Speaking of food and being hungry, here is the Lady. Food freak of the pack. She inspires me to eat all I can. Just grab anything that is edible. She is right though. You never know when you could be living with no food. Just think of all the poor people in the world who search for a piece of bread everyday and thats how they live their life. She makes me thankful that I have food that I can eat and share with the pack. We take so much for granted in life and dont stop to realize how precious everything we have is.
Ah, its Oliver. The spunky happy pill of the pack. He makes me laugh everyday someway or another. Oliver is such a inspiration to just live. He is so happy and playful. All he wants to do is live life. He takes every chance he can get out there and enjoy life. You all know the energizer bunny. Well, Oliver is the energizer puppy. So, if Oliver could talk to you all he would tell all of you to always have fun no matter how old you are. Live life to the fullest and just go crazy. Well, just not too crazy.

November 11th. Its the day my mom gave me a second chance in life. The day I found the one person who loves me more than all the people in the universe. If it was not for her I probably would still be in Russia. There with no family to be with or give me love that I would need to survive the harsh world. If my mom did not adopt me fifteen years ago on the 11th I probably would not be the person I am today.
The early years. Life was hard. I do not remember anything from the three years in Russia. I guess its better that way. My mind probably blocked it out to not deal with the trauma. All I know is my birth mother could not take care of me and it was rough living with her. Little food, cold weather and neglect was not an easy experience for me. Then I ended up in an orphanage. Life in there probably was not much easier. It was better than being totally neglected with no one there for me. At least, I probably got some food and warmth. I am glad I am out of there now and part of a family that loves me.
The connection with my mom was instant when we met. It was fate. She was the mother I needed and longed for. My hero. Let me share something with you. So, all I knew what to say was momma poppa and baby when I first came to America. The orphanage probably taught us that because that is a complete family. That is considered a dream family. Not to me though. My mom is the best mom and father combined. I might not have a father but my mom to me is better and loves me more than any two parents could. She is the best single mom in the world.
I was given a second chance in life. The chance I would have not had if my mom did not adopt me. I was three and its hard for older children to get adopted. It just gets harder and harder as you get older too. I am thankful everyday for my mom. The one person who spent fifteen years giving her time, love and life to me. Thanks mom for everything. I am blessed because of you. If it was not for you I would not be where I am today. I would have probably never known what love and family was if you did not open up your life to me. I love you so much. xoxo.
Oh boy! The new flea shampoo came together. My mom and I were excited but the dogs were not. They looked at us with “oh no” eyes. First, my mom bathed the boy of the family. Oliver. He came bounding out after the bath and jumped all over the place. He is such a character. Can always make you laugh. After Oliver was out I took Princess in. She stood there with her big eyes. Just staring at me. It didnt stop me from soaking her with water and putting shampoo all over her. I just did not look at her eyes. Cool thing was, I saw fleas fall off her. They dropped off dead. So, I think if we bathe all three dogs a few times and clean everything. Eventually all the fleas will be gone. Hopefully. Die fleas. Die!
Lovely weather again today. School was fine. I dont know if I learned something. I must have. Just dont remember. Ha. Anyways, I am going to surf the net for a little and see what music I will discover. I hope you all had an okay Monday. Maybe learned something new. Have a lovely night and an enjoyable Tuesday. Its was gorgeous weather here in Jersey today. I opened my window and the weather was just amazing for fall time. The sun was shining high in the sky with no clouds and the warmth all around. If leaves were not falling from the ground I would of thought it was spring. The beauty of weather.
So today I went on a nice long bicycle ride. Who could resist with beautiful weather that was here today. It is always good to be out and get sun. Vitamin D is important for your body and mind. Lets see. How far did I go. Eh. All the way to the end of the park and back. So, around sixteen miles. Yup. The proof? My sore knees. It was fun though. Seeing all the dogs walking and just great exercise. I always feel good after a bicycle ride.
Hehe. I took these two photos of Princess today. She was laying on a towel and I just could not resist wrapping her all up in it. She looked like she was in a cocoon for a dog. Princess is such a patient girl. Lets me do anything to her. Really though, she loves the attention. I love my girl.
Anyways, overall it was a nice four day weekend I had. Could not complain. Especially, if I get off school. Hehe. So, I saw two colleges this weekend, spent time with my mom and went on a nice long bicycle ride. Its been fun but now its soon over. Sadly there is school tomorrow. I am ready. Ready to put on my learning cap and act smart. I do hope all of you had a nice weekend. If you had nice weather also I hope you got out. Embrace the good weather before its gone.
